Scope of Work: This DESIGN / BUILD project consisted of complete interior demolition and build‐out of two fitness spaces: one large Weights/Cardo space (2000 SF), and a Group Exercise Room (700 SF). The Country Club’s project goal was to renovate under utilized spaces and increase the amenities for the current members, while also increasing membership through creating a year‐ round designation. The new fitness amenity was branded “The RAC” and marketed uniquely different from the golf operation. Troop Contracting was brought on the project on a design‐build basis, coordinating the entire project from design— preconstruction‐construction‐post construction. Troop performed constructability reviews and cost estimating during the design phase to maintain the project budget, while also working closely with the architect/engineers and owner to ensure all project goals were met with the stakeholders. Post design and permitting, Troop Contracting provided full construction services to include site supervision, project management, and carpentry and labor self‐performance. Unique to the project was the installation of 3M “Blaze” glass film, a custom and dynamic lighting layout to delineate secons of the workout areas, and a site‐designed/fabricated ramp in the Group Fitness Area to support ADA requirements.
