Recently, Troop Contracting purchased equipment to allow us to perform our own skilled concrete cutting/boring. The top of the line new equipment is the Hilti DD 250, with 16" core bit, water collector, and DD AF-CA Bluetooth Autofeed Unit. The Autofeed unit allows the user to maintain the status and operation of the coring unit without physically advancing the bit, the unit monitors it's own progress and advances automatically. This decreases the amount of labor to maintain the advancement of work. The Bluetooth capability allows the Site Superintendent to view the status of the operation from a phone app.

“Coming Soon” East Aurora School District #1Resilience Education Center, Aurora, IL; 2022‐20239/26/2022 Scope of Work: New state‐of‐the‐art ground‐up, 2‐story Education Building (30,000 sq.ft.) to provide after school programs for the East Aurora School District.
Resilience Education Center is designed to amplify the resilience of East Aurora students by providing new opportunities for growth, development and advancement. Plans for the center include a recording studio for music students, a full culinary kitchen, a coffee shop, ample study and collaboration space, as well as areas for district families to gather for parent association meetings and support groups. The unique space will include a tiered, open area for presentations and concerts, a full‐service kitchen studio for teaching culinary arts, a sports lounge for video gaming and esports, separate studios for art, dance, television production and music recording, therapy rooms and more. Value: $13,000,000 Our renovation to a surgical room at Hines VA Hospital required a high level of attention to detail to mitigate the spread of dust and debris contamination. Troop stepped up and provided a full negative air containment (with negative pressure sensors). Our entire project team understands the need to fully contain our work in an occupied building.
Troop Contracting made an important donation in support of Nurses Week. Nightshift Nurses at Edward Hines VA Medical Center at the SICU COVID Floor where treated to a full Portillos lunch last night. One of our Superintendents (J Blunk) ran point on the operation and made it all possible. Thank you J, and THANK YOU nurses! We couldn't make it through this without you!!
Troop Contracting has recently made a large investment to ensure our job sites are safe, clean, and professional. Recently we purchased numerous Edge Guard temporary wall panels. Not only do they look great in occupied buildings, but they mitigate dust better than plastic. Also, the entry door has a programmable key pad for security. This is just one of the ways Troop Contracting serves our clients with the best resources available. (photo taken at American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons - Fitness Center Build out)
We take project safety very seriously. Recently ALL project managers, superintendents, carpenters, and executives completed an 8-hour course on Confined Space Entry - Construction. Note: Troop Contracting currently has an EMR (Experience Modification Rate) of .93 (a number below 1.00 means that we are doing a great job).
