Scope of Work: While working in an occupied and operating hospital, Troop Contracting installed a new main power feed and distribution switchgear (800A) to support high‐end new Radiology Department scanning equipment. In addition to high‐voltage electrical work, installation included a new concrete incased duct bank from a new pad mounted transformer to the medium voltage switchgear located in the basement electrical room of the main hospital building. A new Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) was installed and tied into the existing emergency generators. The new 75KVA transformer was installed in the existing outside switchgear area serving the main hospital. New fencing and gates were installed surrounding area. Troop self‐performed carpentry, full time onsite supervision, QC, safety, and project management. Troop set up infection control measures, HEPA‐ filtered negative air containment and temporary partition walls. New electrical tie‐ins required a scheduled 8‐hour power shut down. This required Troop to preplan and coordinate the proper functionality of all back‐up systems. Due to our comprehensive coordination effort the tie‐in was completed faster than expected (4hrs) with no interruption to hospital operations. Original Contract: $770,000 Final Contract: $770,000 Original Completion: 09/01/2017 Final Completion: 09/30/2017 Self‐Performance Work: 30%
