Scope of Work: his project consisted of historical preservation to a Forest Preserve Comfort Station originally built in the 1930’s. The project included comprehensive new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. A new roof was installed as well as restoration to the existing masonry walls. Additionally, new heavy timber framing was installed to replace inadequate structural support. The marble restroom stalls with wood doors were restored to their original condition. The restrooms were completely redesigned and rebuilt to be ADA compliant while retaining the historical prominence of the structure. Value: $560,000 Architect reference available upon request. |
